Waiting in Joy for Christ
Paul prays for the Colossians that they may live a life that pleases God. His description of this life is different from what we might expect and is finalized by the expression of thanks in joy. Our Christian life is often lived in guilt and fear that we aren't pleasing God. During advent we can learn how to wait for God in joy. Knowing that our lives please God allows us to rest in our relationship with Him and thank the Father in joy rather than anxiously fear Him.
