This week we get to the hinge in the story of the kingdom of God -- the preaching of the gospel. The ministry of Jesus eventually makes clear that his kingdom is a spiritual reality which transcends our earthly kingdoms. When people attempt to force him to take sides on the political issues of the day, he gives them a different perspective. His calling to us is clear. Above all things, we are kingdom first.
